Brewed, distilled & matured at the Distillerie Castan. Single Malt aged in ex red wine cask. Silver Medal 2022, at the Concours General Agricole of French Whiskies.
Cuvee Terrocita – Peaty Single Malt
Brewed, distilled & matured at the Distillerie Castan. Peaty Single Malt aged in ex white wine cask. Gold Medal 2022, at the Concours Général Agricole of French Whiskies.
2020
Cuvee Berbie – Single Malt
Brewed, distilled & matured at the Distillerie Castan. Single Malt aged in ex white wine cask. Silver Medal 2020, at the Concours General Agricole of French Whiskies.
Cuvee Gost – Single Malt
Brewed, distilled & matured at the Distillerie Castan. Single Malt doubly matured. Silver Medal 2020, at the Concours General Agricole of French Whiskies.
Gin Vilanova BIO
Distilled at the Distillerie Castan. The must-have Gin with minty notes.
Silver Medal 2020 at the Concours Général Agricole des Gin Français.
Poire William – Brandy
Brewed, distilled & matured at the Distillerie Castan. The Williams pear is one of the much delicious and perfumed brandy. Bronze Medal 2020, at the Concours Général Agricole des Eau de vie.
2019
Cuvee Terrocita – Peaty Single Malt
Brewed, distilled & matured at the Distillerie Castan. Peaty Single Malt aged in ex white wine cask. Gold Medal 2019, at the Concours Général Agricole of French Whiskies.
2018

Concours Général Agricole
From 150 years, le Concours Général Agricole rewards and promotes many French local products. To reward them, gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded.
Our participation
For several years, we have participated in this contest in the Eau de Vie-Whisky category. Each year, samples of Whisky have been received and validated for the Concours Général Agricole.
Classification
For the Whisky category, the samples are classified in 5 different sections:
1st section :
Whisky d’Alsace IG
2nd section :
Breton or Brittany Whisky GI
3rd section :
Whisky from France malt/single malt
4th section :
Whisky from France of peated malt/single malt
5th section :
Whisky of France all grains
Awarding of medals
The process of awarding medals is simple. The jury is mixed: there are professionals and non-professionals. They are divided into several tables of 5 people and will taste 10 whiskies blind. Each table then agrees to award medals on the tasted whiskies.
And in 2022
The Roja and Terrocita were double medalists. The Roja silver medal 2018 & 2022, and the Terrocita gold medal 2019 & 2022.
